About Alexander

Therapy for real lives—not idealized relationships.

Couples therapy is not reserved for relationships on the rocks. It is for strong couples who want to stay strong—and get stronger.

Nothing can ever be perfect, but it can always be better. I help couples slow down the pattern, understand what each person is protecting, and turn insight into tools and agreements that can survive a tired Tuesday.

Serious love deserves serious practice.

My background in psychology, creative writing, recovery, and high-pressure systems helps me translate emotional complexity into tools couples can keep using when I am no longer in the room.

How I work

Evidence for direction.
Tools for independence.

I have completed Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and draw from evidence-based relationship practices, family-systems thinking, Narrative Therapy, Relational Life Therapy concepts, CBT, and solution-focused work. I also use creative, individualized strategies when they help the work transfer into real life.

01

Couples & relationships

Preventive and growth-focused work for strong couples, as well as support with recurring conflict, disconnection, commitment questions, intimacy concerns, and major decisions.

02

Trust, betrayal & recovery

Repair after secrecy, addiction-related conflict, broken agreements, shame, and the relational impact of trauma or compulsive behavior.

03

Families, parents & teens

Parent–teen disconnection, boundaries, blended-family stress, developmental transitions, and patterns carried across generations.

04

Men, veterans & high performers

Trauma, identity, purpose, emotional isolation, relationship strain, and the cost of functioning well while suffering privately.

Focused formats

When serious couples want more than one hour at a time.

Intensive work is offered through ITR only after a consultation and clinical-fit screening. Format, staffing, scheduling, fee, informed consent, and insurance eligibility are confirmed in writing before services begin.

01
Focused assessment + written direction

Collaborative Clarity Blueprint

A concentrated relationship-mapping process for couples who refuse to take strength for granted: understand the cycle, name the decisions in front of you, and leave with specific agreements and next steps.

02
Concentrated 2–3 day format

Executive Couples Intensive

Extended sessions for high-demand partners serious about building the best relationship possible, without forcing focused work into a weekly 50-minute window.

03
Relationship pattern + individual context

Dual Focus Couples Intensive

A structured format that works with the shared cycle while making room for each partner’s trauma history, recovery needs, stress load, and protective strategies—then turns that insight into tools the couple can keep using.

Participation does not guarantee that your plan covers a specific service or clinician. Couples therapy is often covered only when medically necessary for treatment of a covered diagnosis; relationship distress alone may not qualify.

Benefits, authorization, deductible, copay, coinsurance, and telehealth eligibility must be verified. Out-of-network superbills may be available, but reimbursement is determined solely by your plan.

Intensives may be private-pay and may not qualify for standard insurance reimbursement. You will receive the applicable fee and cancellation terms before scheduling.

Strength before crisis

You do not have to wait until the relationship is on the rocks.
